How to get free listings in oobr on-line

It's easy to get your listing in oobr on-line, provided you're producing an Off-Off-Broadway show. (An Off-Off-Broadway show is an Equity showcase or non-union production of equivalent resources, being done in any of the New York boroughs.) NOTE: These listings don't appear in the print-only oobr.

Starting November 1, 2006, we no longer accept email or snail mail listings. If you send your listings this way, they will not make it into our online listing engine.

Instead, we invite you to place your listings on our user-friendly self listing system. This feature has been available for your use for some time but now we have converted entirely to self-listing. Using this tool, you can not only upload your show information and dates, but you can upload production photos (.jpg or .gif formats), your company or theatre logo, links to your own site, and practically anything you can think of to promote your show.

To view our self listing site, go here:  Current Listings

If you have not self-listed with the new system yet, go to Register/demo for quick registration and helpful hints.

Once you have registered and want to list, just go to the login to start your listing.

And if you have any problems with the listings tool, or have questions, contact our Webmaster.

Just boil down the information, including the following:

  • Title of show
  • Author
  • Director
  • Producing company
  • Theatre
  • Complete, correct, double-checked address
  • Box-office phone number
  • Dates and times (complete in all details, no matter how arcane)
  • Admission price (no more than $20!)
  • Your contact info, so we can get back to you (please include your E-mail!)*

If you are an oobr member and want your show reviewed, you will still need to self-list.

Please email your press release or information for reviews only to oobreditor@aol.com, or mail them to:

*OOBR's publisher/editor, John Chatterton, has a number of theatrical ventures he will probably let you know about, including a theatre, rehearsal space, and access to general-liability insurance. He won't give your contact info to anyone else.
