Michael Dorian turns to Science as well as up-close and from-afar observations of people in order to get a shaky grip on something referred to as Reality. His explorations of and experiments with words and the world led to the publication of his first book, "The Nektonic Facteur: A Collection Of Poems & A Play In One Act", by Silk City Press of Hoboken, N.J. in 1998. Poetry and Performance Art have longer been his realms but his first play was produced at P.S. 122 as part of FringeNYC's 24-Hour Play Series in 1997. He has twice been a Grand Slam Finalist at The Nuyorican Poet's Café as well as having curated and hosted his own weekly performance series from '95 to '98 at The Beat in Port Chester, N.Y. Another play, Natural's In It, was produced at The Greenwich Street Theater from June 16th through July 10th, 1999. His first play, The Nektonic Facteur, will be part of the 1999 International Fringe Festival, FringeNYC, a production of The Present Company, from August 18-29.
